The SCIFIT Vision
Looking into the future of physical exercise, we see the disciplines of fitness, sports medicine and rehabilitation converging toward a common ideal, the goal of "wellness". Cardiovascular performance and strength, regardless of how or why they are maintained, are proven means to help prevent injury, resist illness, promote recovery and reduce medical costs. We believe that a large number of currently inactive individuals, "not yet fit", will become active if given the appropriate education, programs and equipment. The aging population and the high cost of treating illness are becoming a major motivating factor for the promotion of wellness.
